Client & context
Spinosa Beach Bar is a bar and restaurant on Playa de las Salinas in Los Narejos, on the Mar Menor coast. For a seasonal hospitality business like this, visibility during the summer months is everything: tourists and residents searching for somewhere to eat, drink or spend the evening by the beach make their decisions quickly, and almost always on Google.
The business invested in a website refresh ahead of the 2026 season but could not commit to monthly content creation or an ongoing SEO retainer.
The challenge
With no ongoing content budget or SEO retainer in place, the challenge was to build everything the site needed to rank and convert from day one, and make it work without ongoing management.

Strategy & execution
Rather than proposing a long-term content programme the business could not sustain, we delivered a complete one-off SEO and local search setup designed to work without ongoing management.
01
Built the technical foundation
Every page launched with proper heading structure, optimised title tags and meta descriptions, compressed and tagged images, and a clean site architecture that Google could crawl and index efficiently from day one.
02
Implemented local business schema
We marked up the site with Restaurant and LocalBusiness structured data, giving Google clear, machine-readable information about what Spinosa is, where it is, when it opens and what it serves. This supports both organic rankings and local pack visibility.
03
Optimised for menu, drinks and events
Content was structured around the three things customers search for: what is on the menu, what drinks they serve, and what events are coming up. Each page was written to match local search intent rather than generic hospitality copy.
04
Set up and optimised Google Business Profile
The Business Profile was configured with accurate categories, opening hours, photos, menu links and location data. For a beach bar, the Google Business Profile listing is often the first thing a potential customer sees. Getting it right at launch meant Spinosa appeared in Maps and local searches from the start.
Results
- The new website went live in January 2026. By August, the business’s first full peak season, organic search was generating 1,640 clicks and 16,000 impressions per month, with an average position of 4.6 and a click-through rate of 10.2%.
- The Google Business Profile told the same story from the local side. In August alone, the profile generated 4,646 interactions, including 502 phone calls and 1,101 website clicks directly from the listing. Direction requests and menu views added further high-intent engagement from people actively deciding where to go.
- Growth was steady from launch through spring, then accelerated sharply from June as seasonal demand arrived and the site was perfectly positioned to capture it. This was not paid traffic or a content campaign — it was the result of getting the foundations right once, at launch, and letting Google do the rest.
Key takeaway
For a local hospitality business, you do not always need a monthly content retainer to succeed at search. A thorough one-time setup that includes solid technical SEO, local schema, pages built around what customers search for, and a fully optimised Google Business Profile, can carry a seasonal business through its most important months. Spinosa began with zero organic clicks and ended its first summer as one of the most visible beach bars in its area, generating thousands of customer interactions per month without spending a euro on ongoing SEO.
