Client and context

EcoLover is the go-to platform for conscious consumers seeking sustainable fashion, beauty, and lifestyle advice. Directed by Vicente Gallart, it curates eco-friendly brands, vintage finds, and slow living inspiration for a growing audience passionate about ethical consumption.

Despite a strong editorial voice and passionate community, their digital footprint was underperforming. The site had solid content but suffered from technical bottlenecks and inconsistent SEO practices, leaving them invisible for high-intent searches like “moda sostenible Madrid” or “tiendas segunda mano vintage.”

The objectives

Vicente engaged DNA Creators to build a sustainable growth engine:

  • Primary (Business): Dramatically increase organic traffic and unlock e-commerce revenue through the online marketplace.
  • Secondary (Foundation): Establish technical excellence and content SEO mastery to support long-term authority building.

The challenge

EcoLover’s growth was stifled by classic “good content, poor execution” issues:

  • Technical drag: Page load times averaging 19.1 seconds were killing user experience and Google indexing.
  • Content potential untapped: Strong editorial pieces lacked keyword optimisation, structured data, and internal linking.
  • No e-commerce traction: Despite the marketplace launch, zero sales due to low visibility and poor conversion paths.

The strategy

We deployed a dual-track approach: technical rescue mission + content mastery programme.

Our team (Domenico Gambino, Jay Díez, Giuseppe Sanna, and Jesús Quintana) worked hand-in-hand with Vicente’s editorial team. Rather than just “fixing” the site, we focused on education and systems—equipping EcoLover to own their SEO long-term. The technical audit addressed speed and indexability while our content framework turned passionate writing into search-converting machines.

Key actions

We executed a comprehensive 4-month transformation:

  • Technical overhaul: Compressed images, optimised legacy articles, and slashed load times from 19.1s to 3.3s, boosting Google PageSpeed from 25 to 83.
  • Content SEO mastery: Trained the team on keyword research, H1/H2 optimisation, meta descriptions, and internal linking. Guided production of SEO-optimised articles that ranked immediately.
  • Indexation surge: Dramatically increased indexed pages while ensuring new content was crawled instantly.
